The CCAA will be well-represented in the 2021 NCAA West Regional. The CCAA claimed three of the eight spots, including Cal State San Bernardino being named the No. 1 seed and regional hosts. Cal Poly Pomona and Cal State LA will join the Yotes in the regional as the No. 4 and 5 seeds, respectively.
Cal State San Bernardino went 25-3 in the regular season and 18-0 in conference. The Yotes won both the regular-season title and the CCAA Tournament Championship. They are also the defending national champions after sweeping through 2019 with a perfect 33-0 record. This marks the 21st consecutive regional appearance for the Yotes.
Cal Poly Pomona moved to the No. 4 position after making a run to the championship match of the 2021 CCAA Volleyball Tournament. The Broncos are 23-4 on the season, and they have been regionally ranked throughout the season. They were No. 5 in the last poll before moving up. This will be the 17th trip to the postseason in program history.
Cal State LA also moved up since the last regional rankings as it jumped two spots to No. 5 after making a run to the CCAA Tournament semifinals and finishing the year at 18-9. This will be the Golden Eagles' third straight regional appearance and their 10th since 2004.
The NCAA West Regional will begin on Thursday, Dec. 2, in San Bernardino. Cal State San Bernardino will face the No. 8 seed, Alaska Anchorage in the first round. Cal State LA and Cal Poly Pomona will have to play each other in the first round.

Even with the three selections, the CCAA will not be the most represented conference in the west region. The GNAC put four teams into the regional, highlighted with the No. 2 seed, Western Washington.
