Cal Poly Pomona Leads Four CCAA Programs in Final Learfield Directors' Cup Top 100

ALISO VIEJO, Calif. - The CCAA placed four teams in the top 100 of the final Division II Learfield Directors’ Cup standings for 2025-26.
 
Cal Poly Pomona led the conference with a 52nd-place finish and 353 points. Cal State East Bay followed in 80th place with 259.75 points, while Chico State finished 81st with 257 points. Cal State San Marcos rounded out the conference's top-100 contingent in 84th place with 250.5 points.
 
The conference also placed six additional institutions in the top 150. Cal Poly Humboldt narrowly missed the top 100 at No. 103 with 216 points, followed by Cal State San Bernardino (113th, 197.75), Stanislaus State (127th, 167), Cal State Monterey Bay (133rd, 157.5), Cal State Dominguez Hills (138th, 150), and Cal State LA (147th, 140.25).
 
Cal Poly Pomona accumulated 197.5 points during the fall season to climb as high as 10th in the national standings. The Broncos ultimately secured their second consecutive conference-leading finish after earning NCAA postseason points in baseball and women's outdoor track & field during the spring.
 
Cal State East Bay made one of the largest jumps among CCAA institutions during the spring season. The Pioneers collected 130.75 points in the spring, behind NCAA postseason appearances in men's golf, women's golf, and softball, to move into 80th place nationally.
 
Chico State earned points across all three seasons and totaled 126.5 points in the spring. The Wildcats received contributions from men's and women's cross country during the fall and added valuable points from men's golf and both outdoor track & field programs in the spring. 
 
Four NCAA postseason appearances during the spring helped propel Cal State San Marcos into the top 100. The Cougars earned regional bids in baseball and softball, while their men's and women's golf teams both advanced to the NCAA Championships. Women's golf and softball each contributed 83 points to CSUSM's final total of 250.5 points.
 
Cal Poly Humboldt finished just outside the top 100 after collecting 127.5 points during the spring season. The Lumberjacks were fueled by a national runner-up finish in women's rowing and a strong showing by the women's outdoor track & field team.
 
Grand Valley State captured the Division II Learfield Directors' Cup with 1,089.75 points, followed by Wingate (892.5) and UIndy (832). West Texas A&M and Minnesota State rounded out the top five. The Learfield Directors' Cup was developed as a joint effort between the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics Directors (NACDA) and USA Today. Points are awarded based on each institution's finish in the NCAA Championships.
