Three teams ranked in NCAA Women's Basketball West Regional

Cal Poly Pomona, Cal State LA, and Cal Poly Humboldt are all listed in the first official NCAA women's basketball rankings for the 2025-26 season. Cal Poly Pomona (24-3) holds the No. 3 spot, and Cal State LA (21-5) sits at No. 5. Cal Poly Humboldt (19-8) is currently in the final position at No. 8.
 
Cal Poly Pomona is 24-3, with a 19-2 conference record. The Broncos hold a one-game lead in the CCAA standings with one game remaining in the regular season. They have gone 13-1 at home and 10-1 on the road. CPP leads the West Region and ranks 13th nationally in scoring defense (54.0 ppg). The Broncos are also 18th in the NCAA Div. II in rebound margin (9.3) and 10th in field goal percentage defense (.336).
 
Cal State LA is on a 15-game winning streak, which has moved its record to 21-5 and 18-3 in the CCAA. The Golden Eagles have defended their home court well, posting a 10-1 record at University Gym. Cal State LA leads NCAA Div. II in assist-to-turnover ratio (1.34) and is fifth in assists per game (18.2). Overall, CSULA averages a West Region-leading 78.5 ppg.
 
Cal Poly Humboldt has not lost in February, winning seven consecutive games to improve to 19-8 and 17-4 in the CCAA. Humboldt sits third in the CCAA standings and has already qualified for the CCAA Tournament. The Lumberjacks rank second in the region in steals per game (11.8)  and lead the West in turnovers forced per game (20.81).
