Jada Barnes from Cal Poly Humboldt has been named the FloCollege/CCAA Women’s Basketball Player of the Week. (Feb. 24)

Barnes averaged 18.5 points per game and shot 6-of-10 from behind the arc to lead the Lumberjacks to a pair of road wins, including over No. 7 Cal Poly Pomona.

At Pomona, Barnes dropped 20 points and led Humboldt to a top-10 upset for the second time this season, as the Lumberjacks are still the only team to defeat the Broncos in CCAA play.

Against Cal State San Bernardino, the point guard scored 17 points, grabbed four rebounds, and had two steals in a 74-69 overtime win. She went 9-of-14 at the free throw line and hit clutch free throws at the end to secure the win.

The freshman from Compton is now averaging 8.2 points per game and 2.0 assists per game. Click here to see the list of CCAA Stat Leaders
