CCAA Announces 2026 Women’s Soccer All-Conference Honorees

Nov 3, 2026

ALISO VIEJO, Calif. - Cal State Monterey Bay’s Juliana Dow earned CCAA Player of the Year and Forward of the Year honors, highlighting the CCAA Women’s Soccer all-conference selections and individual awards for the 2026 season.

Cal Poly Pomona collected two positional player of the year honors, with Mikaela Marr selected by the coaches as CCAA Defender of the Year and Parker LaMont as Goalkeeper of the Year. Stanislaus State’s Aliah Avila earned Midfielder of the Year honors for the second time in her career, and Cal State San Bernardino’s Maya Alston was named Newcomer of the Year. Cal State LA’s Briana Chagolla earned Freshman of the Year, and the Golden Eagles’ Erik Garcia was selected as CCAA Coach of the Year.

Juliana Dow ranked second in the CCAA with 11 goals and 26 points. The junior from San Diego added four assists, and her five game-winning goals ranked second in the conference and 12th in NCAA Division II. She accounted for 11 of Cal State Monterey Bay’s 28 goals while helping the Otters rank among the conference’s top three offenses in goals per game (1.56) and points per game (4.44). After starting seven of her 17 appearances in 2025, Dow developed into one of the conference’s most dangerous offensive players, more than doubling both her goals (4) and points (10) from last season. She is the first Otter ever to earn CCAA Women's Soccer Player of the Year.

Aliah Avila added another individual award to an already very impressive career resume that already included CCAA Freshman of the Year honors in 2023 and Midfielder of the Year recognition in 2024. The senior from Madera recorded five goals and three assists, ranking eighth in the conference with 13 points. Her .633 shot accuracy ranked 16th nationally, and she led CCAA players with 1.82 shots on goal per match. Her efforts helped lead the Warriors to their seventh consecutive CCAA Tournament appearance. Avila also earned her third consecutive first-team All-CCAA selection and fourth all-conference selection in her career.

Mikaela Marr anchored a Cal Poly Pomona defense that led the CCAA and ranked fifth in NCAA Division II with a .280 goals-against average. The Broncos allowed just five goals through 18 matches and recorded 13 shutouts. Their .722 shutout percentage ranked eighth nationally, while their .898 team save percentage is 11th. With Marr helping control the backline, CPP held opponents scoreless in six consecutive matches from Sept. 25 through Oct. 11, totaling 620 consecutive minutes. The San Diego native added two assists and played the most minutes (1541) of any field player for the Broncos.

Parker LaMont provided the last line of that Broncos' defense, leading CCAA goalkeepers in goals-against average (.226), save percentage (.913) and shutouts (13). The junior from Palm Springs, Calif., ranked fifth nationally in goals-against average, seventh in save percentage and fourth in shutouts. She recorded 42 saves across 1,594 minutes in goal. LaMont delivered a memorable performance during the opening weekend, making eight saves against Biola and stopping an 87th-minute penalty kick to preserve a 2-1 victory and earn her first career CCAA Defensive Player of the Week award. This marks the second consecutive year a Bronco has earned CCAA Goalkeeper of the Year honors (Jenna Tetrault).

Maya Alston made an immediate impact after transferring to CSUSB from Corban University, scoring six goals and posting two assists. The junior from Keizer, Ore., ranked fifth in the conference in goals and seventh in points (14), with two game-winning goals. She saved her first two-goal performance of the season for the regular-season finale, scoring twice in a 4-0 win over Cal State East Bay that secured the Coyotes back-to-back berths in the CCAA Tournament for the first time since 2013-14. That performance earned her CCAA Offensive Player of the Week honors. Her Newcomer of the Year selection gives the Coyotes consecutive recipients, following Raylene Alcaraz in 2025.

Briana Chagolla led Cal State LA with eight goals and 19 points, ranking third in the CCAA in goals and tying for third in points. The freshman from Riverside added three assists and two game-winning goals, while her .609 shot accuracy ranked 33rd nationally. Chagolla scored seven of her eight goals in conference play, including posting a goal in four consecutive matches. She scored 27 percent of the Golden Eagles’ 30 goals and helped CSULA earn the No. 2 seed in the CCAA Tournament. Chagolla is Cal State LA’s first Freshman of the Year since Paulina Chaidez in 2017.

Erik Garcia guided a Cal State LA team that paired one of the conference’s top offenses with one of its stingiest defenses. The Golden Eagles rank second in the CCAA in total goals (30), points (85), and goals-against average (.468), while leading the conference with a plus-21 goal differential. Their goals-against average ranked 14th nationally, and they posted 12 shutouts in 19 matches. Garcia’s team closed the regular season on an 11-match unbeaten streak, including seven consecutive victories. He is the first Cal State LA coach to be selected by his peers as the CCAA Women's Soccer Coach of the Year since Isabelle Harvey in 2014.

Cal Poly Pomona led the conference with five first- or second-team selections. LaMont and Marr were joined on the first team by midfielder Charlie Gallardo, while defender Georgia Rink and forward Carly Radke earned second-team honors.

UC Merced placed four student-athletes on the first or second team. Andrea Alvarenga Torres and Jocelin Roa earned first-team recognition, while Sophia Ruys and Jackie Tamayo were selected to the second team. Roa paced the CCAA with 12 goals and 27 points, and her eight game-winning goals tied for the national lead. Alvarenga Torres led the conference and ranked fourth nationally with 14 assists.

Cal State San Bernardino, Cal State Monterey Bay and Stanislaus State each had three All-CCAA selections. Cal State LA had two, while Chico State and Cal State San Marcos each had one.

Joining Marr on the first-team backline were Cal State LA’s Celine Gehrig and Cal State San Bernardino’s Sakiah Williams. Alcaraz joined Avila, Alvarenga Torres and Gallardo in the midfield, while Chagolla, Dow and Roa filled the forward positions.

Williams repeated as a first-team selection, while Gehrig and Alcaraz moved up from the 2025 second team.
