The NCAA announced the selections for the 2025 Women's Outdoor Track & Field Championships and Cal State San Bernardino led the CCAA with seven total selections.
The Coyotes had five individuals and two relay teams receive bids to the national championship May 22-24 in Pueblo, Colo. Cal Poly Pomona earned four individuals bids, and Chico State's
Della and Iresh Molina each qualified in two events to give the Wildcats four entries. Cal State LA's
Jonon Young also qualified in two events. Stanislaus State will send two student-athletes to nationals and Cal State San Marcos will send one.
Cal State San Bernardino's
Amari Weatherford and
Hailey Hunt will each compete in four events at nationals. They will run in the 100m and the 200m, before teaming up to compete in the 4x100m and 4x400m relays. Weatherford is ranked No. 6 in the 200m (23.24) and No. 9 in the 100m (11.35). Hunt is No. 6 in the 100m (11.30) and No. 9 in the 200m (23.30).
In the 4x100m relay, they will be joined by
Alexandra Ackerman and
Coryssa Hope. The group is the No. 4 ranked relay team with a time of 44.60. Hope will also run on the 4x400m relay team along with Weatherford, Hunt and
Alexis White. They are the No. 11 seeded relay team after earning a time of 3:39.22 at the Mt. SAC Relays. White is also the No. 19 seed in the women's 400m.
Della Molina and
Iresh Molina will compete in the 5,000m and the 10,000m. They are ranked 5-6 in the 10k with times of 34:08.97 (Iresh) and 34:09.93 (Della), respectively. In the 5k, Della leads with a time of 16:17.53. She is ranked 15th on the NCAA Performance List and Iresh is ranked 17th with a time of 16:21.15.
Cal State LA's
Jonon Young is ranked in the top 6 nationally in the long jump and the triple jump. It will be her second consecutive season competing in the two events at the national championships. Last season she took second in the long jump, and she comes into the meet ranked 5th after posting a career-best mark of 20-10 (6.35m) in the CCAA Championships. Young is sixth in the triple jump with a mark of 41-1.75 (12.54m).
Cal State San Marcos'
Rasha Badrani will be running the 400m hurdles. She won the 400m at the NCAA Indoor Championships, and she is the No. 1 ranked 400m hurdler going into the NCAA Outdoor Championships with a time of 57.79. Only two runners, including Badrani, have posted sub-58.0 times this season.
Annie Wild of Stanislaus State will also be going for her second NCAA Championship in 2025. Wild won the mile at NCAA Indoors and she is currently ranked No. 7 in the 1500m (4:19.67). Fellow sophomore Mila Real earned a place in the outdoor championships in the 400m hurdles with a time of 59.70. She is 13th on the NCAA performance list.
Cal Poly Pomona will send
Isabelle Carreon, Arissa Hatcher,
Vivian Martinez and
Neshara Smith to Pueblo. Smith is ranked No. 15 in the 100m hurdles with a time of 13.65. Martinez is also 15th with a time of 4:21.87 in the 1500m. Carreon is 17th in the pole vault 12-11.75 (3.96m) and Hatcher is 25th in the 800m (2:08.80).
The 2025 NCAA DII Men's and Women's Outdoor Track & Field Championships are from Thursday, May 22, to Saturday, May 24. The meet is hosted by Colorado State University - Pueblo.
