For the second time this season, Stanislaus State’s Alexis Nino has been named the FloCollege/CCAA Women’s Field Athlete of the Week.

Nino had an impressive outing at the Mark Conover Classic in San Luis Obispo with three top five finishes against Division I competitors. She won the hammer throw with a personal best heave of 54.20 meters (177’-10”) and was third in the shot put with a toss of 14.35 meters (47’-1”). Both of these distances are improvements of her NCAA Championships provisional qualifying marks. Nationally, Nino now ranks fourth in the hammer and fifth in the shot put.

The junior from Fresno, Calif., also added a career best toss in the discus throw of 38.91 meters (127’-8”) to move into Stan State’s top 10.

Nino, the 2025 CCAA Champion in the hammer throw, now leads the CCAA in both events so far in 2026.

This is Nino’s second career CCAA Field Athlete of the Week award, both earned this season. Click here for a complete list of past CCAA Track & Field Athletes of the Week.

Next meet on the Stanislaus State schedule is the West Coast Relays, hosted by Fresno State, in Clovis, Calif., this weekend.
