The CCAA loads up with 46 CSC Women's Soccer Academic All-District selections

Nov 26, 2025

ALISO VIEJO, Calif. - Forty-six student-athletes from nine institutions represented the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) on the 2025 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Women's Soccer Academic All-District Team.

The program recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes soccer honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA.

Cal Poly Pomona, Cal State San Bernardino, Cal State San Marcos, and UC Merced all placed the maximum of six individuals on the academic all-district team. Cal State Monterey Bay, San Francisco State, and Stanislaus State each had five selections apiece. Cal State LA collected three honorees.

Nine CCAA student-athletes also had the special privilege of being named CSC Academic All-America® finalists. This list includes Marisa Salazar (CPP), Danielle Paulson (CSUSM),
Natalie Paulson (CSUSM), Sakiah Williams (CSUSB), Klayre Barres (CHICO), Taylor McMahon (CHICO), Hannah Pieri (CHICO), Aliah Avila (STAN), and Makeila Yancey (STAN). They will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. First-, second-, and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced on Dec. 16. To be considered for the honor, a student-athlete must be a starter or important reserve with at least a cumulative grade-point average of 3.50 at their current institution. Nominated athletes must have participated in at least 50% of the team's games at their position. No student-athlete is eligible until they have completed one full calendar year at their current institution and are at least a sophomore academically and athletically.

The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2024-25 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs. The NAIA CSC Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported through the NAIA national office.
