The CCAA women's basketball coaches selected Cal Poly Pomona as the favorites in the 2025-26 preseason poll.

The Broncos received 139 points and seven of the 12 first-place votes to earn the top spot. Cal State LA was second with 122 points and two first-place votes. The three remaining first-place votes went to Chico State, which finished in third with 116 points. Cal State San Bernardino was fourth with 109 points.
 
Fifth through seventh place was decided by four points. Cal State Dominguez Hills came in fifth with 81 points, followed by Cal State San Marcos with 79 and Cal Poly Humboldt with 77. Cal State East Bay seized the eighth spot with 70 points. Stanislaus State (49 points), San Francisco State (39), Cal State Monterey Bay (28), and UC Merced (26) complete the poll.
 
Cal Poly Pomona went 25-6 in 2024-25, with a 19-3 record in the CCAA. The Broncos made a run to the CCAA Tournament Championship game and earned an at-large bid to the NCAA West Regional. CPP will bring back six letterwinners, including two starters, to a team that led the conference in opponents' field goal percentage (.354) and ranked second in scoring defense (58.6).
 
Cal State LA brings back a very experienced group with nine returning student-athletes. The Golden Eagles went 18-10 last season, earning the No. 6 seed in the CCAA Tournament with a 13-9 conference record. No team in the CCAA rebounded the ball better than Cal State LA, which ranked eighth in NCAA Div. II with 43.11 rebounds per game.
 
Chico State is coming off a 24-win season in which it reached the semifinals of the CCAA Tournament and the NCAA West Regional. The Wildcats led the conference in three-point shooting percentage (.361) and in fewest turnovers per game (15.1). Five letterwinners and one starter will be back for Chico this season.

Cal State San Bernardino put together its best conference season since 2010-11 with 15 wins (15-7) and the No. 4 seed in the CCAA Tournament. It won 13 of its final 14 regular-season games and finished 16-12. The Coyotes ranked third in the conference in assists per game (14.5) and second in rebounds per game (41.64).
 
Cal State Dominguez Hills is coming off one of the best seasons in conference history. The Toros won the CCAA regular season and Tournament championships before winning the NCAA West Regional and reaching the NCAA Championship game. All five starters are gone for CSUDH, but it will bring back three letterwinners, all of whom played significant minutes in the Toros' postseason run.
 
Cal State San Marcos is expected to be back in the CCAA Tournament after being voted sixth in the poll. The Cougars missed out on the CCAA Tournament for the first time in six years last season after finishing tied for seventh (8-14 CCAA). CSUSM ranked third in the CCAA in three-point percentage (.326) and first in three-pointers made per game (7.6).
 
Cal Poly Humboldt finished tied with CSUSM for seventh place in the 2024-25 standings with an 8-14 conference record. Humboldt led the CCAA in three-point attempts per game (23.6) and finished third in three-pointers made per game (6.9).
 
Cal State East Bay finished eighth in the preseason poll with 70 points. The Pioneers were one of the deepest teams in the conference as they ranked second in bench scoring with 21.9 points per game. They will bring back two starters and five other letterwinners from that team.
 
The 2025-26 CCAA women's basketball preseason poll concluded with Stanislaus State (49), San Francisco State (39), Cal State Monterey Bay (28), and UC Merced (26) in the final four spots.
