Cal State East Bay's season ends in the NCAA West Regional

NAMPA, Idaho - After a great showing in the CCAA Tournament and earning the program's first NCAA West Regional bid, Cal State East Bay's season has come to an end. The Pioneers fell to Azusa Pacific 5-0 on Friday afternoon.
 
APU scored one in the first on a sac fly to gain the early lead. They added another in the third on a solo home run by Mia Alvarez before scoring three in the sixth to go up 5-0.
 
Azusa Pacific outhit CSUEB 9-2, with pitcher Katie Korstrom's 3-for-3 performance leading the way.
 
The Cougars advanced in the elimination portion of the bracket to play Western Washington. Cal State East Bay concludes its season at 29-24.
