Facing elimination, Cal State Dominguez Hills won both games on Friday over Cal State San Marcos to punch its ticket to the NCAA Championships next week in Denver. The Toros run-ruled the Cougars in the first game, 10-2, before edging the hosts, 3-1, in the winner-take-all game.
 
Game 1
Cal State Dominguez Hills put up four-run innings in the first and sixth and prevented the Cougars from putting together a big inning of their own en route to the 10-2 win.
 
Alyssa Olague pitched a complete game allowing six hits and two runs. She walked two and struck out four. Katelyn Sturm and Kaylee Hull knocked in three runs and had a pair of hits for the Toros. Raquel Jaime went 3-for-4 with a double and a home run out of her leadoff spot. She also scored two runs, as did Claudia Valencia and Amara Labonog.
 
Savannah Coyle reached base in all three of her plate appearances for Cal State San Marcos. She went 2-for-2 with a walk, a double, an RBI, and a run scored.
 
Game 2
Alyssa Olague wrapped up her dominant weekend at the NCAA Super Regional with another shutdown performance to propel Cal State Dominguez Hills into the NCAA Softball Championships.
 
Olague went the first five innings allowing just six hits and one run. She walked one and stuck out one in the Toros 3-1 victory. Olague finished the Super Regionals with 15 innings pitched and only four runs allowed. She earned two wins and now has 21 on the season.
 
The Toros gave her the early lead to work with as they scored one in the first and two more in the fourth on back-to-back doubles by Sturm and Hull.

The Cougars threatened in the fifth when they scored their only run. Paige Donnelly singled to drive in Mayca Brown and put the tying run on the bases. Olague was able to get the next batter to fly out to end the threat.
 
This is Cal State Dominguez Hills' first appearance in the NCAA Softball Championship.
