ALISO VIEJO, Calif. - Nineteen CCAA student-athletes can proudly call themselves Academic All-District honorees, after the team was announced by the College Sports Communicators (CSC) on Tuesday, June 23.
The program recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the track, the field, and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes track & field honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA.
Cal State San Marcos paced the conference with five selections, followed by
Cal Poly Pomona with four.
Chico State had three selections, and
Cal State LA and
Stanislaus State each placed two on the team.
Cal Poly Humboldt and
Cal State East Bay each had one representative.

Damian Garcia and
Trey Suffredini were selected as CSC Academic All-America® finalists. They will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. First-, second-, and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced on July 14.

To be considered for the honor, a student-athlete must contribute to the team with at least a cumulative grade-point average of 3.50 at their current institution. Nominated athletes must have participated in at least 50% of the team's contests. No student-athlete is eligible until they have completed one full calendar year at their current institution and are at least a sophomore academically and athletically.
The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2025-26 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs. The NAIA CSC Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported through the NAIA national office.
