ALISO VIEJO, Calif. - Cal State Monterey Bay's pitcher
Andrew Kotin has earned a spot on the prestigious College Sports Communicators (CSC) Baseball Academic All-America third team.
Kotin was the 2026 CCAA Pitcher of the Year after posting a 9-1 record. He struck out 42 and walked just 16 while registering a 3.90 earned run average and a 1.34 WHIP. The Irvine, Calif., native ranked fourth in the CCAA in ERA and WHIP, and he was second in wins. He also earned first-team All-West Region recognition from the NCBWA, ABCA and D2CCA.
Kotin is the fourth Otter to receive CSC Academic All-America honors. He joins KW Quilici (2025), Nico Hartojo (2023), and Brian Haggett (2013).
The Division II Academic All-America® program is being financially supported by the NCAA Division II national governance structure to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2025-26 Division II Academic All-America® program.
