ALISO VIEJO, Calif. - Cal State San Marcos' Avery Foster and Kiara Hernandez have been recognized among the nation's elite after earning Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) All-America honors for the 2025-26 season.
 
Foster was named to the WGCA Division II All-America First Team, while Hernandez received All-America Honorable Mention recognition. The pair helped lead the Cougars to one of the most successful seasons in program history, highlighted by a CCAA Championship and a berth in the NCAA Division II National Championships.
 
Avery Foster capped a remarkable sophomore campaign as one of Division II's top performers. She recorded seven top-five finishes and eight top-10 finishes during the season. The Clovis, Calif., native won the Tim Tierney Pioneer Shootout, and she earned medalist honors at the CCAA Championship after finishing fourth on the conference leaderboard.
 
The Carlsbad native was a fixture in the national rankings throughout the season and entered the postseason as one of the No. 3-ranked golfers in the West Region, and the No. 13-ranked golfer in the country. She added WGCA All-West Region honors and the 2025-26 CCAA Golfer of the Year recognition to her list of accomplishments before becoming one of just 14 players selected to the Division II All-America First Team.
 
Kiara Hernandez continued her decorated collegiate career by securing All-America recognition for the second consecutive season. The senior recorded seven top-10 finishes, including placing sixth at the NCAA West Regional, to help lift CSUSM into the NCAA Championships. She finished the season ranked 10th in the region and 40th in the nation.
 
A two-time All-CCAA and All-West Region, Hernandez closed her career with her second consecutive WGCA Honorable Mention All-America honor.

The WGCA All-America teams are selected annually by the Women's Golf Coaches Association and recognize the top student-athletes across NCAA Division II based on their performance throughout the season.
