Cal State East Bay Secures #2 Spot in Final NABC Poll

ALISO VIEJO, Calif. - Cal State East Bay finished at No. 2 in the final NABC poll of the 2025-26 season.
 
The Pioneers were the last undefeated men's basketball team in the NCAA. It reached the Elite Eight with a 33-game winning streak and finished the season at 33-1. Along the way CSUEB won the CCAA regular season and CCAA Tournament Championships. It also captured the program's first NCAA West Region title.
 
Cal State East Bay was the first CCAA team to go undefeated in a 22-game conference schedule, and the first to go unbeaten in league play since 1992-93. Its .971 winning percentage led NCAA Division II in 2025-26.
 
Tyree Campbell was named the NABC Division II Player of the Year, and Bryan Rooney was voted the NABC Coach of the Year.
 
The Pioneers ranked among the nation's leaders in many categories including scoring defense (eighth, 63.5 ppg), 3-point percentage defense (sizth, .288), scoring margin (13th, 12.7 ppg) and steals per game (13th, 10.1 spg).
