KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Five CCAA men’s basketball programs and 39 student-athletes were recognized by the National Association of Basketball Coaches with 2025-26 academic honors.
Cal State Dominguez Hills,
Cal State East Bay,
San Francisco State,
Stanislaus State and
UC Merced earned NABC Team Academic Excellence Awards after completing the academic year with a team grade-point average of 3.0 or higher.
Cal State East Bay led the conference with 11 selections to the NABC Honors Court. Cal State Dominguez Hills followed with eight honorees, Stanislaus State placed seven on the list, and San Francisco State and UC Merced each had six selections.
The NABC Honors Court recognizes junior, senior and graduate student men’s basketball players who completed the 2025-26 academic year with a cumulative GPA of at least 3.2.

Za-Ontay Boothman earned his third consecutive Honors Court selection. Nine additional student-athletes repeated from the 2024-25 list, while Stanislaus State’s
Jason Zimmer returned to the Honors Court after previously being recognized in 2023-24.
“College basketball student-athletes do incredible things on the court, but their achievements in the classroom are equally worthy of celebration,” said
NABC Executive Director Craig Robinson.
More than 2,300 student-athletes earned spots on the 2025-26 NABC Honors Court, while over 400 programs received Team Academic Excellence Awards. The awards are presented annually to teams and student-athletes from all levels of college basketball.
