UC Merced’s Martel Fields collects his third FloCollege/CCAA Men’s Track Athlete of the Week award Apr 21, 2026 Share: Complete list of weekly winners >>> Martel Fields from UC Merced has been selected as the FloCollege/CCAA Track Athlete of the Week for the week of April 13-19. The junior from Long Beach won the 200-meter in a field of 73 runners at the Bryan Clay Invitational with an NCAA provisional qualifying time of 21.08. Fields also set a personal best in the 100m as he earned another NCAA provisional standard with a time of 10.40. He is only the third CCAA student-athlete to earn a provisional in the 100m. Fields also competed in the 4x100m relay team with Naseem Hassaan, Medard Idi, and Ny’j Joiner-Addison, posting a time of 41.66. He now ranks third in the CCAA in the 100m and first in the 200m.
