Members of the 4x400-meter relay team at Cal Poly Pomona have been selected as FloCollege/CCAA Women’s Track Athletes of the Week, for the week of April 6-12.
The relay team of Yasmeen Delgado (Sr., Los Angeles), Arissa Hatcher (Gr., West Covina, Calif.), Jordan Garcia (Sr., Temecula, Calif.) and Jessica James (Sr., Gardnerville, Nev.) were victorious at the UCLA Rafter Johnson Invite on Saturday, with a time of 3:44.31. The program’s fourth fastest time met the NCAA championships provisional qualifying time of 3:45.53.
This team’s time is the second fastest in the CCAA this season, behind another Broncos relay quartet (Garcia, Hatcher, Hannah Bassett, James), which previously ran a time of 3:43.06 on April 4.
The Broncos on this relay team are among some of the fastest sprinters in the CCAA. James is the fastest in the 400m and ranks second in both the 100m and 200m. Garcia and Delgado are the second and sixth fastest, respectively, in the 200m. Hatcher is No. 2 in the 800m. Click here to see the CCAA Performance List.
For the members of this relay team, this is the first CCAA Field Athlete of the Week award for Delgado, Hatcher, and Garcia. This is the second win for James in 2026. Click here for a complete list of past CCAA Track & Field Athletes of the Week.
This week the Broncos will split between the Bryan Clay Invitational in Azusa and Mt. SAC Relays in Walnut, Calif.
