24 CCAA Men's Basketball Student-Athletes Land on the CSC Academic All-District Team

Mar 27, 2026

ALISO VIEJO, Calif. - Twenty-four student-athletes from 10 institutions represented the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) on the 2025-26 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team.

The program recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes basketball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA.

Cal State San Marcos and San Francisco State paced the conference with the maximum of four selections. Cal State East Bay and Cal State Monterey Bay had three academic all-district honorees. Cal Poly Humboldt, Cal Poly Pomona, Cal State LA, Stanislaus State and UC Merced all had multiple awardees.

Cal State Monterey Bay's Jaden Tengen and Cal State San Marcos' Dexter Stratton were selected as CSC Academic All-America® finalists. They will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced on April 14. To be considered for the honor, a student-athlete must be a starter or important reserve with at least a cumulative grade-point average of 3.50 at his/her current institution. Nominated athletes must have participated in at least 50% of the team's games at their position. No student-athlete is eligible until they have completed one full calendar year at their current institution and are at least a sophomore academically and athletically.

The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2025-26 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs. The NAIA CSC Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported through the NAIA national office.
