CSUSM record-setter Nadia Miechowicz named FloCollege/CCAA Track Athlete of the Week

Nadia Miechowicz of Cal State San Marcos is named the FloCollege/CCAA Women’s Track Athlete of the Week after a record-breaking performance.

Miechowicz made her collegiate debut in outdoor track on Saturday by sprinting to a school-record time of 11.76 seconds in the 100-meter dash. She won the event at the Rossi Relays in Claremont by edging Trinity Miller (unattached) by two-hundredth of a second.

The freshman from Escondido set a new CSUSM record by 0.09 seconds, set in 2024. Miechowicz now ranks first nationally and is atop of the CCAA list by 0.39 seconds. She also helped the Cougars 4x100-meter relay team to the program’s fifth-fastest time at 47.23 seconds.

Cal State San Marcos will next take part in the RCC Invitational on Friday in Riverside.
