Cal Poly Humboldt’s Michael Payan vaults his way to the FloCollege/CCAA Field Athlete of the Week award Mar 17, 2026 Share: Complete list of weekly winners >>> This week’s FloCollege/CCAA Men’s Field Athlete of the Week honors went to Cal Poly Humboldt’s Michael Payan. Payan set a new Cal Poly Humboldt outdoor school record in the pole vault with a mark of 17-6.5 (5.35m) at the Wildcat Invitational, hosted by Chico State. The mark eclipsed his own school record by an inch and earned him a win in the meet. It was also an NCAA provisional qualifying standard. Payan now ranks second in all of NCAA Div. II.
