Marissa Jordan of San Francisco State has been named the FloCollege/CCAA Softball Player of the Week, for the week of March 9-15.
Jordan batted .636 with an OPS of 1.576 in leading the Gators offense as they won three out of four against Cal Poly Humboldt. She went 7-for-11 with a dinger, drove in seven runs and scored three times. Jordan, who hit safely and drove in runs in all four games of the series, posted a .909 slugging percentage and an on-base percentage of .667.
The senior designated player and third-baseman from Roseville, Calif., went 2-for-3 and scored the go-ahead run in the sixth in Friday’s opener as SF State won 5-2. In the nightcap, Jordan scattered three hits on three at-bats and drove in two runs despite a 13-5 loss. On Saturday, she had a hit in each game, including a two-run blast that hit a police car — ironically on First Responders Day at the field. Jordan helped the team secure the series win with an eventual game-winning RBI groundout in the sixth inning of the finale.
During CCAA play, Jordan leads the league with 12 RBI and shares the top of the list with 14 hits. She’s sixth with a .483 batting average and her .724 slugging percentage is seventh best. Click here to see the CCAA stats leaderboard.
