Stanislaus State’s Alexis Nino has picked up the season’s first FloCollege/CCAA Women’s Field Athlete of the Week award after posting two provisional marks.

Nino opened the 2026 outdoor season by dominating the FPU Sunbird Invitational on Saturday, capturing titles in both the hammer throw and shot put. Both of her marks also met the provisional qualifying standards for the 2026 NCAA Division II Championships in May.

The junior from Fresno, won the hammer with a distance of 53.62 meters (175-foot-11) and claimed the shot put win at 14.12 meters (46-foot-4), scoring a combined 20 points for the Warriors.

With her performance, Nino now moves into No. 2 on the Stan State all-time top 10 list in the shot put. Nino currently ranks No. 10 in DII in the indoor version of the event.
