CCAA places 19 student-athletes on the CSC Academic All-District At-Large Team

Jun 26, 2025

Nineteen student-athletes, seven men and 12 women, represented the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) on the 2024-25 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District At-Large Teams.

The program recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes at-large honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA.

Cal State East Bay paced the conference with eight selections, four men and four women. Cal State LA was second with five selections. Cal State San Marcos and Cal State Monterey Bay had three, and Chico State placed one on the prestigious academic team.

Ten of the 19 student-athletes were selected as CSC Academic All-America finalists and are denoted with an asterisk. They will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. Cal State East Bay has six golfers advancing to the next round. Adam Brangefalt, Oscar Blomqvist, Cooper Groshart, and Ananjan Kaushik will represent the men's team. Sophia Tejeda and Jasmine Krishna represent the women's team.

Those are just six of the 10 golfers selected to advance to the national ballot. The others include Cal State San Marcos's Madison Murr, Cal State Monterey Bay's Wilhelm Berg von Linde, and Cal State LA's Morgan Sjoerdsma and Joshlyn Ayala.

NCAA and NAIA Women’s At-Large Academic All-America® First-, second-, and third-team honorees will be announced on Tuesday, July 8, 2025. (The Men’s At-Large Teams will be announced on Wednesday, July 9.) Click here to see the complete list of CSC Academic All-District selections. Men's At-Large | Women's At-Large

No student-athlete is eligible until they have completed one full calendar year at their current institution and are at least a sophomore academically and athletically.

The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs. The NAIA CSC Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported through the NAIA governance structure.
