For the second consecutive week, and third time this season, Cal State East Bay’s Marissa Quintero has been selected as the FloCollege/CCAA Softball Pitcher of the Week.

Quintero went 2-0 over three appearances covering 15 innings. She allowed two runs and struck out 10. 

In her first appearance, Quintero went seven innings, allowing only one run. The sophomore then made two appearances on Saturday. She threw two shutout innings in the first game, before yielding only one run over six innings in the nightcap. The wins helped CSUEB capture the program’s first CCAA Championship. 

Quintero leads the CCAA and ranks 12th in the NCAA with a 1.20 earned run average. She also paces the conference in shutouts (six) and is second in wins (18). Click here to see the complete list of CCAA Softball weekly award winners.  

Cal State East Bay earned the No. 1 seed in the CCAA Softball Tournament presented by FloCollege.
