Back-to-back FloCollege/CCAA Field Athlete of the Week awards for Chico State’s Chance Hefter Apr 22, 2025 Share: Complete list of weekly winners >>> Chico State’s Chance Hefter has been voted the FloCollege/CCAA Field Athlete of the Week for the week of April 14-20. Chance Hefter earned provisional marks in two events, the shot put and the discus. Starting at the Bryan Clay, the senior threw for 56-1 (17.17 meters) in the shot put to post the 23rd-best mark in Division II, and he finally got his name in the record book, as it is the ninth-best in program history. When he got the opportunity to throw the discus at the Beach Invite, he reached 169-1 (51.55m) to put his name in the record book again as the ninth-best in the program.
