For the second time in three weeks Stanislaus State’s Trent Lauderdale has been chosen as the FloCollege/CCAA Track Athlete of the Week.

At the West Coast Relays in Clovis, Calif., on Saturday, Lauderdale ran a first place time of 51.21 second in the 400-meter hurdles race, which is currently the fastest time in NCAA Division II. He leads UT-Tyler’s Ashton Turner by 0.12 seconds. The senior from Fontana, Calif., now moved into third on Stan State’s all-time list in the event.

Lauderdale was also part of both relay teams at the meet as well. The 4x100 relay team finished second in 41.69, which is third best this season in the CCAA. The winning 4x400 relay clocked in at 3:16.27, for the fourth fastest time in the conference this season.

This is Lauderdale’s third career athlete of the week award. He won this honor two week ago and also at the start of the 2023 season. Click here to see the complete list of CCAA Track & Field weekly award winners.

The Warriors will be at three meets — SF State’s Mike Fanelli Distance Carnival, Stanford Invitational and Brutus Hamilton Invitational at Cal — this week in the Bay Area.
