Cal Poly Pomona’s Neshara Smith named FloCollege/CCAA Women’s Track Athlete of the Week

Cal Poly Pomona’s Neshara Smith has been named the FloCollege/CCAA Track Athlete of the Week for the week of Mar. 3-9. 

Smith clocked in a time of 13.65 in the 100-meter hurdles at the Beach Opener hosted by Cal State Long Beach. This time ranks her at the top of the CCAA by over a second and is currently leading NCAA DII in the event. She also placed second all-time in CPP program history.

The Bakersfield native is the first Bronco women’s track & field student-athlete to win a CCAA weekly honor in 2025. Click here to see a complete list of past CCAA Track & Field Athletes of the Week.
Cal Poly Pomona will take a one-week competition hiatus from its outdoor track & field schedule before returning to action next week at two meets hosted by UCLA.
