Trent Lauderdale of Stanislaus State has been selected as this week’s FloCollege/CCAA Men’s Track Athlete of the Week, for the week of March 3-9.
Lauderdale was a speedster at the Cal Season Opener on Saturday as he improved his NCAA Division II provisional qualifying time in the 400-meter hurdles. His new seasonal best time of 52.44 now ranks him third in Division II and is the fastest time in the CCAA. He is the only CCAA athlete to have a provisional qualifying time so far this season. Lauderdale placed second in the event, behind an unattached runner.
The senior from Fontana also ran the anchor leg of the Stan State 4100 relay team, which came in third behind San Jose State and Cal in a time of 41.56 seconds.
This is Lauderdale’s second career athlete of the week award. He won this honor at the start of the 2023 season. Click here to see a complete list of past CCAA Track & Field Athletes of the Week.
