Nnamdi Onwaeze of Cal Poly Pomona has been named the season’s first FloCollege/CCAA Men’s Track Athlete of the Week.

At the Rossi Relays on Saturday, Onwaeze clocked in at 14.20 seconds in the 110-meter hurdles to win the event and posted the NCAA Division II Provisional time. The time is already quicker than his 2023 CCAA Track & Field Championships finish when he placed second (14.21). 

The senior from Los Angeles also ran the team’s anchor leg on the 4x100-meter relay race with the Broncos winning in 41.32 seconds. Cal Poly Pomona won the team competition at the meet held in Claremont.

Next on Cal Poly Pomona’s schedule is this Friday when the Broncos compete at the RCC Invite in Riverside.
