Chico State’s Jordan Ausbie has been selected as the FloCollege/CCAA Field Athlete of the Week, the first for the 2025 outdoor season.

Ausbie opened the year at the 41st annual Chico State Multi Classic, netting a 6,535 points in the decathlon to set the bar in the CCAA for the upcoming season. The points total surpassed NCAA Provisional standards as the senior from Cupertino holds the top spot in the nation after week one.

On Saturday, on home turf, the 2023 CCAA championships runner-up won the high jump (1.85m) and long jump (6.29m) events during the decathlon. Ausbie was top three in all but two events.
