Marissa D’Atri of Chico State has picked up the season’s final CCAA Women’s Track Athlete of the Week award, for the week of April 22-28.

D’Atri was invited to compete amongst Division I athletes at the Payton Jordan Invitational at Stanford last weekend and she made it count in her signature 5,000-meter race. The distance runner ran a 16:26.08 to strengthen her NCAA Championships provisional qualifying time. Her time is the second fastest recorded this season in the West Region and the 20th best in Division II.

The two-time defending CCAA champion in the 5,000-meter run currently ranks first in the conference in both the 5,000-meter and 3000-meter Steeplechase events heading into the CCAA Track & Field Championships. D’Atri is also second in the 1500-meter run. Click here to see the 2024 CCAA Performance List
