Sonoma’s Bailee Reed captures her third CCAA Pitcher of the Week award in 2024 Apr 29, 2024 Share: Complete list of weekly winners >>> Sonoma State’s Bailee Reed has claimed CCAA Pitcher of the Week for the second consecutive week. Reed led Sonoma State to a pair of victories as the Seawolves locked up their second consecutive CCAA regular-season title. The senior from Antioch pitched two complete games (14 innings), allowing only one run and six hits. She struck out 12 and walked just one. Her two wins gave her a CCAA 13 in conference play. In Friday’s opener against CCAA Tournament-bound San Francisco State, Reed pitched a complete game shutout, allowing only three runners to reach base (two hits, walk) while striking out eight. She followed it up with another complete game on Saturday, allowing just four hits and one run with four strikeouts while SSU clinched the CCAA title outright with the victory. Overall, Reed ranks second in the CCAA with 17 wins, third in ERA (1.94), and fifth in WHIP (1.16). She is tied for the conference lead in starts (25) and is first in complete games (15). The Seawolves’ first game will be Thursday, May 2, at 10:30 a.m. when they face the lowest seed remaining after Wednesday’s elimination games.
