Chico State’s Gavin Binning named CCAA Field Athlete of the Week Apr 23, 2024 Share: Complete list of weekly winners >>> Chico State’s Gavin Binning has been named the CCAA Men’s Field Athlete of the Week for the week of April 15-21. In front of the home crowd at the Chico Invitational, Gavin Binning set the CCAA's top mark in the long jump, reaching a personal-best 24-3.25 (7.40m). That mark is an NCAA Provisional Standard and is the fourth-best in the West Region. Binning was also a member of the winning 4x400m relay team with a time of 3:25.10. Binning leads the CCAA in the long jump by 1.25 inches and ranks ninth in the triple jump.
