Three-win week leads Sonoma State’s Bailee Reed to be named CCAA Pitcher of the Week

Sonoma State’s Bailee Reed was named the CCAA Softball Pitcher of the Week for the week of April 15-21.

Reed earned three wins and pitched in every game of the series as Sonoma State swept Stanislaus State and clinched a CCAA Tournament berth for the fourth consecutive season. The senior right-hander threw 17.2 innings, allowing just two earned runs to post a 0.79 earned run average. She gave up just 11 hits and five walks to finish the week with a 0.90 WHIP and seven strikeouts.

Reed started the series opener and went the first 5.2 innings, allowing only one run to lead her team to the 6-1 win. She earned another win in relief in the second game of the doubleheader when she pitched three frames in extra innings without allowing a run. Her final win came in Saturday’s opener when she went the distance, allowing only one run and four hits. 

Reed leads the CCAA with 23 starts and is second with 15 wins and 13 complete games. She has a 1.99 ERA on the season and a 1.22 WHIP. Click here to see the CCAA player leaderboard
