CSUEB’s Marissa Quinteor throws one-hitter to earn CCAA Pitcher of the Week honors Apr 1, 2024 Share: Complete list of weekly winners >>> Cal State East Bay’s Marissa Quintero has been named the CCAA Pitcher of the Week for March 25-31. The freshman from Whittier made the most of her lone appearance on the week, allowing just one hit over seven innings to earn the complete-game shutout win in a 4-0 victory over Sonoma State. She struck out four of 26 batters faced to earn her ninth win of the season. On the season, she leads the CCAA in opposing batting average a .168 and is second in earned run average at 1.86. This is Quinero’s first career CCAA Pitcher of the Week Award and the second for Cal State East Bay this season after Ashlee Toy earned honors following the opening week of the season.
