Cal Poly Pomona’s Isabelle Carreon has been named the CCAA Women’s Field Athlete of the Week after soaring to new heights.

Carreon finished second in the pole vault at the Beach Opener at Long Beach State with a mark of 3.70 meters, which is a new personal best. Her mark of 12 feet, 1.5 inches the third best in school history and she’s the current leader in Division II. The junior from Discovery Bay finished behind Long Beach State’s Charlotte O'Connor (3.85m).

Carreon also finished last week at the Rossi Relays, where she cleared 3.65 meters (11’-11.75”).

This is her first career CCAA Women’s Field Athlete of the Week award and the first Cal Poly Pomona pole vaulter to earn this honor since Feb. 27, 2018 (Hannah Steuve).See a complete list of weekly winners. 

The Cal Poly Pomona Broncos will compete at the Ben Brown Invitational in Fullerton this week.
