Rasha Badrani of Cal State San Marcos is this week’s Women’s Track Athlete of the Week as selected by the CCAA.

Badrani captured the win in the 400-meter hurdles race at the Beach Opener at Long Beach State in a time of 1:01.58. The time is a provisional qualifying time for the NCAA Championships and she is currently ranked No. 1 in Division II. She was the runner-up at the 2023 CCAA Championships in the event.

The sophomore from San Marcos also helped the Cougars relay team to a 47.68 seconds finish in the 4x100, which is the sixth best time posted in the nation thus far.

Cal State San Marcos will compete at the Ben Brown Invitational in Fullerton this week.
