Cal Poly Pomona’s Justin Cardoza has been tabbed as the CCAA Men’s Field Athlete of the Week as leaping to the front of the pack this past weekend.

Cardoza set a new personal best in the triple jump at the Beach Opener at Long Beach State with a jump of 15.06 meters. The 49-feet, 5-inch mark is a NCAA Championships provisional qualifier and he is now the national leader. The sophomore from San Diego leads all CCAA athletes in the event by more than five feet.

The 2023 CCAA Field Athlete of the Year and Freshman of the Year was the CCAA Championships high points winner. This is his first CCAAMen’s Field Athlete of the Week award. See a complete list of weekly winners.
