CPP’s Hill Earns CCAA Field Athlete of the Week Honors Mar 26, 2024 Share: Complete list of weekly winners >>> Darius Hill of Cal Poly Pomona has been voted the CCAA Men’s Field Athlete of the Week for the week of March 18-24. Hill, a junior from Murietta, finished third in the high jump at the Mangrum Invitational, clearing 6-9.5 (2.07m) to tie teammate Kailen Smith but edge Smith with one fewer miss. The two Broncos now lead the CCAA in the high jump and are fourth in NCAA Division II this season. Hill also competed in the Long Jump at the Aztec Invitational, taking 13th overall with a leap of 22-3.75 (6.80m). This is the first career CCAA Field Athlete of the Week honor for Hill and the third CPP student-athlete to collect the award this season, following teammates Justin Cardozza (Feb. 26-March 3) and Deandre Smith (March 11-17).
