CSUDH’s Mariah Ramirez earns CCAA Pitcher of the Week honors after 4-0 week Mar 25, 2024 Share: Complete list of weekly winners >>> Cal State Dominguez Hill’s Mariah Ramirez has been named the CCAA Pitcher of the Week for March 18-24. The right-hander from La Habra was dominant in the circle as she picked up the victory in each of the Toros’ four wins at the Tournament of Champions in Turlock. She opened up the week allowing just one run on three hits over 5.0 innings to earn the win over Central Washington on Friday. Later that day against Saint Martin’s she scattered four hits over seven innings to earn her first complete game of the week. After a pair of rainouts on Saturday, she made the start in both games on Sunday, earning complete game wins over Simon Fraser and Western Oregon. On the weekend, she recorded 29 strikeouts while allowing just four runs on 15 hits with six walks over 26.0 innings pitched. On the season, she leads the CCAA in wins at 11 and is second in innings pitched (99.0) and batters struck out (89). Click here to see the CCAA player leaderboard.
