Chico State’s Kendra Pearson leaps way to CCAA Women’s Field Athlete of the Week award Mar 19, 2024 Share: Complete list of weekly winners >>> Chico State’s Kendra Pearson has been named the CCAA Women’s Field Athlete of the Week (Mar. 11-17). Pearson earned a fifth-place finish in the high jump at the Hornet Invitational in Sacramento, clearing 5-5.75 (1.67m) for her first NCAA provisional qualifying mark of the season. The Auburn, Calif. native leads the CCAA in the high jump by three-quarters of an inch. She also ranks second nationally among NCAA Division II high jumpers. This is her first career CCAA Women’s Field Athlete of the Week award and the first for Chico State since Josie Peterson in 2023 (March 27-April 2).
