CPP’s Deandre Smith Jumps Way To CCAA Field Athlete of the Week Mar 19, 2024 Share: Complete list of weekly winners >>> Deandre Smith of Cal Poly Pomona has been voted the CCAA Men’s Field Athlete of the Week for the week on Mar. 10-17. Smith won the long jump at the Riverside CC Open with a NCAA Provisional qualifying mark of 24-2.25 (7.37m). The mark is also fourth in NCAA Division II and tops in the CCAA this season. This is the first career CCAA Field Athlete of the Week honor for Smith although he was part of the Broncos’ 4x100m relay team who won CCAA Track Athlete of the Week honors in February. He is the second CPP student-athlete to earn field honors this week, following teammate Justin Cardoza (Feb. 26-March 3).
