CSUSM’s Rasha Badrani repeats as CCAA Women’s Track Athlete of the Week Mar 12, 2024 Share: Complete list of weekly winners >>> Cal State San Marcos’ Rasha Badrani has been voted the CCAA Women’s Track Athlete of the Week for the second consecutive week (Mar. 4-10). The reigning CCAA Track Athlete of the Week followed up her previous award by breaking the 22-year-old school record in the 100-meter dash at 11.96 seconds at Cal State Fullerton's Ben Brown Invitational. Autumn Wright set the record in 2002, and she eclipsed it by over a tenth of a second (12.07). Badrani also ran the second-fastest 200-meter time in program history at 24.50 seconds, and in the 100-meter hurdles. The San Marcos, Calif., native, set her third top-10 time of the day at 14.55 seconds. Nationally, she sits fifth in the 100, sixth in the 200 and seventh in the 100-meter hurdles. Badrani is the first student-athlete to earn CCAA Track Athlete of the Week awards in back-to-back weeks since 2022. See a complete list of weekly winners.
