CSUSB’s Bri Goris named CCAA Softball Player of the Week after sweep of first-place Toros Mar 11, 2024 Share: Complete list of weekly winners >>> Cal State San Bernardino’s Bri Goris has been voted the CCAA Softball Player of the Week for the week of March 4-10. Goris, a junior from Chino, Calif., hit .429 with three home runs and seven RBI to lead the Coyotes to a sweep at Cal State Dominguez Hills, which entered the series undefeated in conference play (10-0). After going hitless in the opening game, Goris went 6-for-11 with multiple hits and RBI in each contest. On Saturday, she helped the Coyotes win a pair of one-run games. She homered early in both games to give her team the lead and set up walk-off wins, including Tereise Tosi’s 11th-inning homer in the series finale. The infielder is now hitting .345 with a .932 OPS. Goris is the second CSUSB student-athlete to earn CCAA Softball Player of the Week honors in 2024, joining Mia Escujuri (Feb. 12-18).
