Nyah Paulding of Cal Poly Pomona has been selected as the CCAA Women’s Field Athlete of the Week after two winning jumps.

Paulding won both the long jump and the triple jump at the Rossi Relays in Claremont. She leapt 5.25 meters (17 feet, 2 ¾ inches) to win the long jump as one of two athletes to surpass the five-meter mark. Paulding’s victorious mark of 11.59 meters (38 feet, ¼ inch) was the only one above 11 meters.

The junior from San Leandro is the current NCAA Division II leader in the triple jump. Her long jump distance is currently the fifth best in the CCAA with last week’s Field Athlete of the Week Reyna Dismukes of Stan State leading. See a complete list of weekly winners.
