Reyna Dismukes of Stanislaus State has been named 2024’s first CCAA Women’s Field Athlete of the Week after two great leaps to start the outdoor season.
At the Sunbird Invitational at Fresno Pacific, Dismukes skipped, hopped and leaped to victory in the triple jump and soared to second place in the long jump. She led the Warriors to a runner-up finish in the team standings behind host FPU (152-131).
The junior from Fair Oaks posted the meet best of 10.36 meters (34’-0”) in the triple jump and was second in the long jump with a mark of 5.46 meters (17’-11”). Dismukes was second in the long jump behind only Fresno State’s Lynee Sims (5.57 m; 18’-3.25”).
Dismukes, a transfer from Seattle University, posted a career-best 5.65 meters in the long jump at the 2023 WAC Track & Field Championships.
Stanislaus State will host the Kim Duyst Invite at Al Brenda Track at Warrior Stadium, on March 1-2.
