San Francisco State’s Kai DeLeon collects CCAA Softball Player of the Week honors Feb 12, 2024 Share: Complete list of weekly winners >>> For the second time in her career, San Francisco State’s Kai DeLeon has been named the CCAA Player of the Week after putting up outstanding numbers in the tournament held in Tucson, Ariz. The junior middle infielder hit .500 (6-for-12) with a .625 on-base percentage. She walked four times, scored five runs and stole six bases. She posted a run in all four games. Her highlight performances came in the opener and the finale. Against MSU Moorhead, she went 3-for-4 with a double, and RBI and a stolen base. She had four stolen bases in the finale against Adams State, scoring two runs. DeLeon is sixth in the CCAA in batting average (.458), and second in runs (seven) and on-base percentage (.567). Click here to see the CCAA player leaderboard. DeLeon’s first CCAA Player of the Week award came two weeks into her freshman season in 2022.
