CSUSB's Tereise Tosi collects CCAA Softball Player of the Week May 1, 2023 Share: Complete list of weekly winners >>> Cal State San Bernardino’s Tereise Tosi has been named the CCAA Softball Player of the Week for the week of Apr. 23-30. The sophomore first baseman hit .545 (6-for-11) as the Yotes took three of four games at San Francisco State to secure a bye in the upcoming CCAA Softball Tournament. In the series, Tosi had a double, a home run, six runs batted in, and three runs scored. She posted a .643 on-base percentage and a .909 slugging percentage. In the series opener, she went 2-for-4 with a home run and three runs driven in. She returned in the late game with two more hits, including a double and an RBI. She reached base twice more in Saturday’s first game via a hit and a walk. In the finale, Tosi singled through the left side on a full count to drive in the first run of the game. She added another RBI on a fielder’s choice in the third. That run put the Yotes up 3-0 and proved to be the winning run. It was Tosi’s ninth multi-RBI game of the season. Tosi led all student-athlete with 29 RBI in CCAA play. She was also tops in home runs (8) and slugging percentage (.717). This is the second CCAA Player of the Week honor for Tosi in 2023 and the third of her career. Cal State San Bernardino will play its first game of the CCAA Softball Tournament on Thursday, May 4, at 1 p.m. Their opponent will be determined after Wednesday’s results.
