Cal State Dominguez Hills’s Kaylee Hull was selected as the CCAA Softball Player of the Week for the week of March 27-April 2.

Hull helped lead the No. 23 ranked Toros to three wins over regional opponents, including a victory over No. 9 Concordia. She hit .667 (8-for-12) with three home runs, five RBI, and three runs scored. The sophomore from Vista reached base at a .714 clip and posted a 1.417 slugging percentage. She finished the weekend with 17 total bases.

In the opening game against Biola, Hull went 2-for-3 with a homer in the 6-0 win, providing a harbinger of things to come. The clean-up hitter followed that with a 3-for-3 effort in the nightcap in which she belted another long ball as part of her three-RBI game.

At Concordia on Saturday, she managed two of the team's six hits in the 2-0 loss. The Toros bounced back with a 2-0 win in the nightcap as Hull went 1-for-3 with her third home run of the weekend.

The three home runs moved Hull into the conference lead with seven. She is also third in slugging percentage (.635) and tied for seventh in RBI (18).

This is the second career CCAA Player of the Week award for Hull and the second for the Toros this season. Hull won her first honor on this same week last year when she hit .467 at the Tournament of Champions. She joins teammate Alex Davis as CCAA Player of the Week winners in 2023.

The Toros will return to conference play this week when they travel to Chico State for a four-game series starting on Friday, April 7.
